Reminders…

There's a lot going on at the dojo in this week and next. Here are a few reminders:

• Thurs. 11/29 – Testing in the dojo during the 6:00 pm class.

• Fri. 11/30-Sun. 12/2 – Seminar with Dennis Embert Sensei, 6th dan, see poster and brochures in dojo for more details.

• Mon. 12/3 – Brad Dingman and students will be joing us for practice during the 7:00 pm class

• Ongoing – Sign Sensei’s holiday card and watch the table for additional holiday cards.

Brad Dingman and Students-

Brad Dingman (Ithaca, NY-Kokikai) is going to bring some of his students to the dojo on Mon. 12/3 for the 7:00 pm class.

Please consider coming to class that night...remember it takes a village to raise a dojo!

RIT Graduate Earns His Shodan

Congratulations to John Hawley who tested for shodan at Fall Camp. John graduated from  RIT in 2008 and moved to California where he continued to practice with Aikido Kokikai Golden Gate. John was ranked second kyu when he moved from Rochester.

CRACK Volunteer Needed!

Now that I have your attention...would someone please volunteer to re-point the crack/expansion joint in the dojo floor? Brian Sensei keeps catching his big toe on it.

November Testing!

Just a heads up...

There will be testing in the dojo on Thurs., 11/29 during the 6:00 pm class.

Please come and cheer on and uke for your fellow aikidoka!

Seminar with Dennis Embert Sensei, 6th Dan-

Please join us November 30 - December 2, 2012 for an aikido seminar, featuring guest instructor Dennis Embert Sensei, 6th dan.

Schedule:

Friday 11/30 @ Eastern Sky –

   7:00 pm-8:30 pm (all ranks)

Saturday 12/1 @ Kokikai Rochester –

   10:00 am-12 noon (all ranks)

   12 noon-1:00 pm - Lunch in dojo

   1:00 pm-3:00 pm (all ranks)

   3:00 pm-4:30 pm (brown & black belts)

Sunday 12/2 @ Eastern Sky –

   10:00 am-12 noon (all ranks)

Cost: $60 full seminar (lunch included) or $30 per class (plus $5 for lunch)


Note:

   • A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kokikai Camp Mat Fund.

   • Students should bring weapons to every class
